The Value of Early Pregnancy Ultrasound Parameters in Prediction of First-Trimester Outcome

Background: In early pregnancy, it is essential to emphasize viability, and gestational age precisely.Researchers have tried discover some useful sonographic indicators in pregnancy so as expect theoutcome of the ongoing pregnancy. The aim this study assess first-trimester ultrasound measurementsfor prediction loss.Subjects Method: A prospective observational cohort done Tikrit city outpatient clinic ofobstetrics gynecology department Salah Al-Deen General Hospital from1st February-31st August 2020. random sample 78 pregnant women selected, 8 were lost follow up. Thedata collection through a designed questionnaire, physical examination transvaginal sonographyassessment. Sonography assessment crown rump length (CRL), yolk sac (YS) sac(GS) diameters, & fetal heart rate (FHR) are recording.Results: Seventy examined by using ultrasonography at 6th,9th 12th weekof gestation. readings 6th week gestation for (GSD, YSD, CRL, FHR) (14.5±1.3),(3.2±1.8), (3.1±0.8), (105±10.6) respectively, lower among those with first trimester loss than thosecontinue (26.1±5.2), (3.9±0.3), (5.1±0.5), (119±3). gestationfor follows; [(25.1±3.5), (3.6±0.3), (13± 2.1). (165± 1)] werelower group continue [(59.2±4.1), (4.5±0.7), (50.7±5.7)& (171±5)].Conclusions: current found that GSD, FHR may indicate pregnancyloss.
